Infotjenester
Simplifying Human Resource Management

Thorfinn Hansen, CEO and Øistein Heier, Corporate Developer“We simplify being a good employer,” says Thorfinn Hansen, the CEO of Infotjenester, aptly outlining the DNA of his company. Since its inceptionin 1985, the company has been steadfast in bringing a new approach to human resource management (HRM), providing a common interface to meet the ever-evolving needs of employees, employers, and candidates. Driven by this mission, Infotjenester offers the right combination of advanced HR technology and knowledge-based excellence, comprising legal expertise and extensive experience in personnel and organisational development.
The company brings an intuitive solution—Simployer— which assists employers to monitor, assess, and predict employee behaviour and performance. Simployer’s suite of best practice HR modules comprises everything needed to effectively manage the complete employee lifecycle, right from onboarding, personal administration, and workforce management to performance HR, and learning and talent management.
The solution also enables organisations to comply with GDPR guidelines, tightening the way they handle employee information. Hansen remarks, “Of all the modules, our sick leave management application is one of the most prized applications for most of our clients.” Substantiating the efficiency of this module, he cites an instance wherein a renowned retail chain with 245 stores and 2,500 employees effectively streamlined the management of their employees’ sick leaves. Concurrently, the other modules of the solution helped them onboard new employees and effectively assess the performance of their workforce.
Currently, Infotjenester’s HRM solution is being leveraged by almost 900,000 managers and employees, and handles more than 60,000 issues related to human resources, accounting, and HSE annually, which speaks volumes of its expertise.
Infotjenester delivers capabilities that go beyond resolving administrative HR challenges. The company enables its clients to manage the overall HR function with their technological expertise and knowledge base. “Our goal is to assist customers in creating better workplaces, and to do so, it is important that we share our extensive domain knowledge with clients, helping them make informed HR-related decisions,” says Hansen. Infotjenester, therefore, fortifies its HRM system with a robust knowledge centre. The company’s knowledge centre consists of numerous training modules and relevant content focused on HR, economics, accounting, and management to help organisations improve their workforce management. Infotjenester conducts training sessions tailored for clients operating across industries.
Rooted to his Scandinavian culture, Hansen says, “We believe in the power of autonomy and flat structure, and attempt to provide the same through our HRM solution— empowering employees by making them a larger part of the decision-making process.” While Infotjenester’s current offerings focus on the European mid-market realm, the company plans to expand its horizon in the future, both technologically as well as geographically to foster exceptional HR practices around the world.
